Hallmark Greeting Card Giveaway

by Jacqueline Whitmore

What’s the best way to express your love, admiration, encouragement, and appreciation for someone? Send a greeting card!

The folks at Hallmark believe, as do I, that everyone has something they need to hear. Maybe it’s something sentimental like, “I love you” or maybe it’s a simple “thank you.” But instead of keeping these feelings to yourself, why not share them? Tell the people you care about what they need to hear, because just a few kind words can bring a smile to their face.

In an effort to spread kindness and make the world a more caring place, I’m partnering with Hallmark and we’re giving away a collection of greeting cards, appropriate for a variety of recipients and sending situations. This collection is valued at $50.00. This contest will begin on Sunday, May 6, 2012 and close on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11:59pm EST.

There are three easy ways to enter:

1. Enter on my Facebook fan page. Don’t have a Facebook account? That’s okay. Just enter by clicking here.

2. Tweet the following message on Twitter: I entered @etiquetteexpert ‘s #contest to win an assortment of greeting cards by @HallmarkPR. http://bit.ly/KzJ2xf

3. Leave a comment below with your answer to this question: Why do you enjoy sending or receiving Hallmark greeting cards?

A winner will be randomly selected and notified by e-mail. Good luck!

I love sending Hallmark cards because people don’t seem to expect it anymore. I especially enjoy sending cards to people for no “traditional” reason- ie, Birthdays Christmas. I enjoy receiving them for the same reason I like to send them. It makes me happy 🙂

Ever since I was a little girl my favorite thing to do was mail out greeting cards. I would take $ from my allowance & buy cards for people I love or save them for an occasion.
I really miss walking into Hallmark stores & browsing for cards like when I was younger.

    Greetings Jacqueline!
I love sending Halmark cards because the quality is so high and I feel as if I am sending out little bits of love! There is nothing like the phone call that I get when somebody has received one of my cards!!…Pure love right back!

In today’s electronic age, getting an “ole fashion” card mailed to you tends to mean more. Someone had to go to a store, read through all the cards to find just the right one, actually buy stamps and mail it. And for those who don’t really know what to say, sometimes the perfect card says it all.

Because Hallmark cares and so do I!

I’ve been sending cards for years and still send birthday or “thinking of you” cards to family & friends. Hallmark usually has the best sentiment and quality around.

We are losing the personal touch in our electronic world and I want to do my part to keep friends close.

As a guy, I admit to sentiment. Love to get it. Need to give it. That’s not a strategy to gain or get, but joy boomerangs, as the video said. I can trust the professionals at Hallmark to ‘get it right the first time.’ How do I know? – Because… I can browse the card display, ‘feel’ the read and make an appropriate choice ‘on the run. ‘

I love sending Hallmark giftcards, but especially to the little ones in my life…It’s always nice to get a card in the mail, but it was especially fun as a kid when something arrived with my name on it. It made the trip to the mailbox an adventure. 🙂

I have never heard anyone complain about receiving a greeting card. It makes you not only feel special but adds to a wonderful day. I feel prepared when I have cards on hand to send anytime it suits me.
I want to keep sending and getting cards as long as the USPS allows for the service.

I enjoy sending them to let people know I’m thinking about them and they’re important to me. I enjoy receiving them because it’s nice to know someone cares about me.

I send Hallmark cards for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Get Well Occurances, Loss of a Loved One and the best habit I have was copied from my brother. We send weekly cards to a chosen person who is very ill. People are always remembered at the beginning of an illness but it means so much when they are not forgotten. I now have been sending to one friend for 3 years. We thought she would not be with us back then, but we are blessed and she still is. She leads a sheltered life because she is still very sick but she calls every time she gets a card and tell me how much it means to her. And, of course, it is a Hallmark! There is nothing like a Hallmark card! They have a quality above all…the depth of colors, the paper, the raised designs, the perfect verse printed in a beautiful font, interesting shapes, beautifully colored envelopes and it says “Hallmark” on the back. It is true, “When you care to send the very best – choose Hallmark!”

Today, I was just at a local Hallmark Gold Crown store. I personally like giving special Hallmark cards for really special life events. I actually found a graduation card for my daughter who will be graduating from NSEU College of Dental Medicine as a Dentist. There was only two cards left in the store. Hallmark cards have a really extraordinary meaning to them. While visiting the Hallmark store, I found out that some of the other local Hallmark stores in the area had closed. That’s too bad.

    Long live on Hallmark!
