Anyone who has ever gotten married knows that it’s expensive to throw a wedding, but it’s also expensive to attend one.
According to the latest American Express Spending & Saving Tracker, 69 million Americans will attend one or more weddings this year, and they expect to spend 59 percent more than last year.
What’s even more shocking is that guests will most likely spend upwards of $539 per wedding, and most of that budget will go towards travel, new clothes, and the couple’s wedding gift.
